Summer at Newport is in full swing and filled with fun! In June we celebrated all of the incredible dads that are apart of the Newport family during sports night. We also started Water Wednesday’s for the summer. In July we enjoyed delicious gelato during an ice cream social at our playground.
Dad sports night was held in the Newport playground for dads and their children to play games and enjoy time together. Children won prizes at each of the different sports stations and loved showing off what they got. Everyone had so much fun showing appreciation and love for all of the awesome dads that are at our school!
Every summer we soak in the sun and warm weather by having Water Wednesdays. All of our age groups from infants to Pre-K get to explore and play in water outside. Our playground is transformed into a waterpark filled with small swimming pools, water tables, and even a crazy spinning sprinkler!
All of our Newport families were invited to come out for our annual ice cream social. FRÍO gelato set up at our playground and served children and parents different flavors of gelato. We even had a self-serve pick your own toppings bar including lots of tasty treats. Hosting events like the ice cream social is a great way to allow parents to meet one another and see their child interact with other children in their class. We love getting to see all of the Newport families enjoying themselves in the same place!
