The annual Pumpkin Patch gave every student, toddlers and older, a chance to pick out their very own mini pumpkins! As Newport continues to grow so does our pumpkin patch – this year the school used almost 250 pumpkins to create the special event!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Larger pumpkins were distributed to classrooms for Newport’s first-ever Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Each classroom carved or decorated a pumpkin and all 12 pumpkins were displayed in the front lobby where families and students were invited to vote for the spookiest, the silliest, and overall favorite pumpkin.

Halloween Festivities

Party time!!! We can’t let a holiday pass without a classroom celebration! There were games, activities, treat bags and… COSTUMES!

The beautiful, if chilly weather on Friday provided a lovely backdrop for our costume parade!  After classroom parties on Friday afternoon, students and teachers took to the street to show off their costumes. Parents and family members lined up and cheered as the procession passed on Newport Street’s sidewalks.
