Get ready for a fantastic week as we celebrate a beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss!  Each day, we will have a new way to dress up to keep the spirit and fun up all week!  On Monday, break out your crazy socks, mix and match, or layer up in honor of Crazy Socks Day for the book Fox in Socks!  Then, on Tuesday, we’re taking a page out of the Sleep Book and wearing our Pajamas to school!  It’s Wacky Wednesday next where we think outside of the box to do something utterly preposterous!  Wondering What Pet You Should Get?  Bring a stuffed pet to school as a companion all day!  And to end our week, it’ll be the Newport Student in Hat Day, so find a fun head accouterment to adorn!

Dr. Seuss Week corresponds with Theodor Geisel’s birthday, which has also been dubbed as Read Across America Day!  We will be filling our days this week with extra reading to promote language and literacy!  Additionally, we will host an IN-PERSON book fair all week in our upstairs lobby!  Brochures of available books will be sent home to each family and you can stop by anytime during this week to browse and buy some amazing titles.  You can also shop our school’s book fair online if you’d prefer.
