During Fire Safety Week, we hope to have a real fire truck and firefighters come to Newport for students to see.  In the past, firefighters have given simple, informal presentations about what to do if there is a fire.  They’ve also gotten in full gear and showcased all the equipment they use to help normalize the experience.  Students then have the opportunity to step inside a fire truck!  Unfortunately, we never know when a fire may strike.  Thus, the date won’t be confirmed until closer to the week and it may not be able to come.
