This past May, we hosted many events for all of the Newport families and friends. In the beginning of May we celebrated our awesome moms with a mom and me craft night. Later on in the month we held our preschool graduation ceremony acknowledging all of the hard work our preschool students and teachers put into growing their brains this year. We then wrapped up the school year with a fun popsicle picnic in our play lot!
All of the our amazing Newport moms were invited to come make a craft with their child during mom and me night. The room quickly became full of smiles and laughter while moms worked with their children to decorate wind chimes. From infants to preschoolers, everyone enjoyed painting and coloring together! Events like this give parents the opportunity to connect with and get to know other families attending Newport Children’s Academy.
We are so proud of our recent preschool graduates! They’ve worked so hard this year to learn, grow, and prepare for kindergarten. Our spectacular preschool teachers put together a wonderful graduation ceremony. Each child stood up and spoke about their favorite activities from the school year. Some kids mentioned learning letters while others favorite times were playing outside with friends. After the ceremony families enjoyed each other’s company and conversation while celebrating with snacks and treats!
We had popsicles at the park as a part of our end of the school year celebration. All of the kids loved having a sweet treat with their friends and teachers. Each class also had a mini party back in their classrooms to celebrate the start of summer. Our 2017-2018 school year was a huge success thanks to all of our teachers, staff, and lovely Newport families!
