Newport is excited to begin the 2021/2022 school year. While we are open and teaching students year-round we take pride in our commitment to academic readiness by modeling our own curriculum calendar around the traditional school calendar. This will also be the sixth year that our school has been in operation since our opening in September 2016!
The first week of September marked a huge number of transitions, students moved into new, older-aged classrooms. Two year-olds entered preschool, preschoolers moved into Pre-Kindergarten, and our Pre-K graduates moved on to Kindergarten.
This is the second year that Newport Children’s Academy has offered kindergarten. Fourteen students who graduated our Pre-K program entered our Kindergarten class this fall. The program also welcomed two new students and a new teacher, Ms. Ali Wolfe. We are excited to see this program’s success and growth!
